Success with Smile Implant Center
My Story
Let me tell you how grateful I am right now! You have no idea the pain I was going through while waiting to be seen by a dental office. At the time I originally made this appointment I was told by the receptionist at the dental office that because the dentist is contracted, I had to wait a full week before the dentist who does oral sedation could work on my teeth.
With no other alternatives or local dentists that could work with my budget, I had to wait. Based on my prior history with dental work and the pain of realizing I am resistant to the novacain numbing agent, I find it imperative to only be put to sleep for these kinds of procedures.
The Pain
Unfortunately while I was waiting for my appointment, the tooth pain could not wait. I woke up in the middle of the night with the most agonizing pain that is hard to put in too words.but It was as if I had been driving in my car, crashed and was flung headfirst through the windshield while gargling with glass. It was so painful, at one point I screamed out, "AHHHHHH" in agony.
By morning I had all but two hours of sleep as I had medicated myseld with Whiskey finally. One I awoke shorly after that, I was in as much pain as before but this time I could barely swallow without having intense pain shooting to the nerve ending in my absesed tooth (molar). I knew it was serious, maybe even life threatening and I knew I could not wait for the appointment scheduled the next day.
I remembered hearing about Dr. Thomas Teich at the Smile Implant Center in Newport Beach and grabbed my keys and headed out. The pain was still so bad, I could barley iron a shirt. I felt almost disoreinted and I was also sweating profusely.
Finally I got to the dental office and from the moment I walked in I knew I was a moment away from relief. The lady at the front desk checkin me in and I was whisked away shortly thereafter to a number of Xrays and mouth exams. I was then consulted by Dr. Thomas Teich about my Xrays and exams. He was so comforting and warm way about him and I knew as he spoke, why he was a dentist. I did not feel at any time like he was trying to make a buck of my agony. He recommended the extraction and a few other things that were at my discretion to decide to do.
Surgery
I opted for the extraction of my abses of coarse but also the wisdom teeth. What amazed me was that the xrays, ct scan of my mouth, the mouth exam to look at my gums, the consultation were all FREE. I knew the expense of these procedures which kept me away for so many years.
A short time later, I was sitting in the operating chair being prepped fo surgery. After I was put to sleep, I awoke disoriented and to the warm and loving gaze of my family which they had arranged to meet me to pick me up after the surgery.
Thanks Dr. Teich and Smile Implant Center for an amazing and pain-free visit. Everyone who reads this, don't walk, run to this place.
